| ☁️ More than 60 million Americans were under cold and snow alerts this weekend. Between 1-2 feet of snow is possible in the upper elevations of the Sierra Nevada mountains between Saturday and Tuesday. On Monday, rain will begin falling in the Heartland while heavy and long-lasting rains are possible in Louisiana, Mississippi and could last until Thursday. Meanwhile, a huge swath of the South was under a deep freeze over the weekend, with cold temperatures causing a myriad of water-related issues across the region. 🗳️ Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who was hailed for much of last year as a rising Republican star, has ended his presidential campaign after he failed to overtake rival Donald Trump in polling or in the early vote of the 2024 race. DeSantis made his announcement in a four-and-a-half-minute video posted to X on Sunday. 🌍 More than 25,000 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war, the Gaza Ministry of Health said Sunday and at least 62,681 people have been injured, said the ministry, which operates under the Hamas Authority. Meanwhile, Israeli officials said 532 IDF soldiers have been killed, including 195 since the ground operations in Gaza began. The news comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will "continue the war on all fronts and in all sectors." ❤️🩹 Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, has been diagnosed with malignant melanoma, her spokesman confirmed to "Good Morning America" on Sunday. The new health update came after her diagnosis with an early form of breast cancer last summer. 👶 Chris and Brittany Tyler, a couple from Louisville, Kentucky, adopted a toddler who was left at a fire station as a newborn. | |
