The Bost Bulletin

Dear Friend,

The new year is upon us, and House conservatives are wasting no time confronting the border crisis head on, as we traveled last week to the southern border at Eagle Pass, Texas. We are holding Joe Biden and the liberals accountable for this national security failure. We passed legislation to secure the border and finish the wall eight months ago. For eight months, that bill has gathered dust on Chuck Schumer’s desk. Keep reading to learn more about my return trip to Eagle Pass and some of the work I’ve been up to in Southern Illinois.

Addressing the Border Crisis

Last spring, I visited the southern border at Eagle Pass, Texas. I spoke with border agents who were overworked and undermanned. The Biden administration has only allowed the crisis to worsen since then. In fact, Eagle Pass is setting records for the number of border encounters.

Last week I flew back to Eagle Pass with my fellow House Conservatives to send a message to Joe Biden. Enough is enough. We cannot turn a blind eye to this humanitarian and national security crisis. Biden and Mayorkas will be held accountable for their failure to act.

Hearing From Our Local Farm Bureaus

I met with the Farm Bureau officers from Edwards, Wabash, and Richland counties to update them on negotiations on the five-year Farm Bill and hear how we can help ensure our farmers, growers, and ranchers remain the backbone of Southern Illinois’ economy.
