Proceedings will be webcast from this page. The Executive Board is composed of 34 technically qualified members elected for three-year terms. The main functions of the Board are to implement the decisions and policies of the Health Assembly, and to advise and generally facilitate its work. The meeting convened at 9:30am CET on Monday, 22 January 2022. The working hours will be as follows: · Monday 22 January: 09:30-12:30 and 14:30-17:30 CET · Tuesday 23 January onwards: 10:00-13:00 and 14:30-17:30 CET · Monday 22 January, WHO Director-General will deliver his report and is expected at 10 am CET · Tuesday 23 January at 10 am CET, members of EB will consider the appointment of the Regional Directors for the Eastern Mediterranean, South-East Asia and Western Pacific regions respectively. Tuesday, 23 JanuaryTrachoma: Accelerating progress to elimination as a public health problemSightsavers and the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) are holding an online event on 23 January 2024 to share and discuss learnings around how to eliminate the infectious eye disease trachoma. The event, which will take place from 14:00 – 16:00 GMT, will share the findings from a new collection of research papers – 'Trachoma: Accelerating progress to elimination as a public health problem' in the RSTMH journal International Health. Wednesday, 24 January100 Days Mission Report LaunchWHO's Chief Scientist, Dr Jeremy Farrar, will provide opening remarks at a report launch event for the 100 Days Mission, which is supported by the International Pandemic Preparedness Secretariat. The 100 Days Mission has the goal of making tests, therapeutics and vaccines available, safe, effective and affordable within the first 100 days after a pandemic threat is identified.
