Morning Rundown
🏛️ President Joe Biden on Thursday blasted the Alabama Supreme Court ruling that said frozen embryos are considered children in the state, calling it "outrageous and unacceptable." On Tuesday, the Alabama Supreme Court ruled that "unborn children are 'children' … without exception based on developmental stage, physical location, or any other ancillary characteristics." Biden said he would work to restore Roe v. Wade -- however, with a divided Congress, it could be challenging. Less than one week after the Alabama Supreme Court's ruling, multiple medical providers across the state have paused in vitro fertilization procedures, citing legal concerns. At least three providers -- including a large, statewide health system -- have paused IVF treatments, with one citing "legal risk."

⚖️ Opening statements began Thursday in New Mexico in the trial of "Rust" armorer Hannah Gutierrez, with the prosecution claiming she did not always adhere to "essential" safety procedures and the defense describing the set as "chaotic." During his opening statement, defense attorney Jason Bowles countered that the production and state have made Gutierrez a "scapegoat" in the tragic shooting, resulting in the on-set death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who actor Alec Baldwin fatally shot on the Santa Fe set while he was handling a prop gun.

📜 A judge ruled Thursday that the punishment faced by a Black high school student in Texas for refusing to change his hairstyle does not violate the state's CROWN Act, which prohibits race-based hair discrimination, according to ABC-owned KTRK. Darryl George, 18, has been banned from attending regular classes at Barbers Hill High School in Mont Belvieu by the school district, since Aug. 31, 2023, according to his mother. In September, Darryl George's family filed a federal lawsuit against Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and the state's Attorney General Ken Paxton for allegedly not enforcing the state's CROWN Act.

📱 A temporary network disruption that affected AT&T customers in the U.S. Thursday was caused by a software update gone wrong, according to preliminary information from two sources familiar with the situation, who told ABC News there was nothing nefarious or malicious about the incident. AT&T told ABC News in a statement that the outage was not caused by a cyberattack but "the application and execution of an incorrect process used as we were expanding our network."

👰 A Missouri couple married in an impromptu wedding at a hospital last week, hours before they welcomed a baby boy on Valentine's Day.
