| Whilst I am no great fan of Hoyle, who is IMHO nowhere near assertive enough at managing some of the dreadful behaviour that seems to have become endemic in the House, I do not think he should resign.The debacle yesterday may have been catalyzed by Hoyle's initial decision but two things were far more fundamental, one a procedural one (linked to the archaic and arcane nature of our political system) and one about MPs from all sides. |
