1️⃣ Florida: State Supreme Court will hear abortion ballot measure case In Florida, the state's supreme court is reviewing a proposed ballot measure to enshrine abortion in the state's constitution. This marks the final step the proposed measure will undertake before appearing on the ballot → 2️⃣ Oklahoma: Republicans hope to ban the celebration of Pride Month In Oklahoma, Republicans proposed a bill to prohibit state agencies from celebrating Pride Month – a time designated to honor and uphold LGBTQ+ visibility and existence. This is Oklahoma Republicans' latest attack on LGBTQ+ freedoms and is among the over 50 anti-LGBTQ+ bills proposed in the state so far this year → 3️⃣ Virginia: Democrats pass assault weapons ban in both chambers In Virginia, Democrats used their newly won majorities in the House and Senate to pass an assault weapons ban. Virginia Dems have committed to enacting new gun safety measures that will make our communities safer → 4️⃣ Missouri: State Senate votes against adding exceptions to the state's abortion ban in cases of rape and incest In Missouri, the state Senate delivered a crushing blow to abortion access when they voted against adding exceptions for rape and incest to the state's existing total abortion ban.
