Around 50 million people worldwide have epilepsy, making it one of the most common neurological diseases globally. WHO and partners are working to improve care and support for people living with epilepsy by targeting poor access to medicines, lack of knowledge of epilepsy care, the impacts of stigma and discrimination, and under-investment in epilepsy research.
