| ๐ง️ A flood watch is in effect from Redding to San Diego as a storm brings dangerous rain and wind to California, putting 37 million people on alert. The area between Santa Barbara and Los Angeles is most at risk for flash flooding. More than half a foot of rain has already fallen and mudslides have been reported, closing roads across the area. ๐จ Yulia Navalnaya, wife of late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of being involved in her husband's death and vowed on Monday to continue his work. Navalny's team said they believe Navalny was murdered and have accused Russian authorities of withholding his body to conceal evidence of how he died. ๐ A student was taken into custody Monday in connection with a double homicide at the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs, according to officials. The 25-year-old is facing two counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of the two victims, who were found shot dead in a dorm room on Friday, according to the Colorado Springs police. ⚖️ A man who was wrongfully convicted and incarcerated for over six years was awarded $10 million in damages by a jury in Detroit. Alexandre Ansari was wrongfully serving a life sentence over claims that in 2012 he shot and killed a 15-year-old girl and wounded two people, according to a lawsuit filed by Ansari in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan Southern Division. ๐ A Howard University alum has completed her bucket list of visiting more than 90 HBCUs.
