At least 140 countries recognize health as a human right in their constitutions, but more than 4.5 billion people were not fully covered by essential health services in 2021. Today, 8 April, a high-level dialogue between WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mr Volker Türk will mark the 75th anniversaries of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the World Health Organization.
