In the world of sports, there are the competitions that come and go, and then there are the greats. College football touts the history of the Rose Bowl and golfers show respect for the famed Masters, and here in pickleball, we have the Selkirk Red Rock Open. Set at an altitude of 2,700 feet, pickleball competitors flock from around the world to compete, encapsulated by Utah's famous red rock landscape. This visually unique backdrop is one of the many reasons the Selkirk Red Rock Open is a fan favorite, and why nearly 1000 players of all skill levels come to compete alongside the pros. At Red Rock, you can play where the pros play. With Selkirk, you can gear up like a pro, too.

Control EVERY Rally With Defensive Dinking | | While smashing balls may be a successful strategy for beginner players, advancing to higher levels requires strategy and precision with your shots. To achieve this, you have to know how to reset a point. Imagine the kitchen is cut in half horizontally. The half closest to the net is the defensive zone while the half closest to the kitchen line is the aggressive zone. When an opponent is putting pressure on you, whether through volleys or aggressive dinks, you want to return your dinks to the defensive zone. This will force your opponent to back off the attack. If your opponent hits a ball sent to their defensive zone hard, it will likely go into the net or off the court. When you successfully place a ball into the opponent's defensive zone, you have officially reset the point, making it possible for you to be more aggressive.
