Last week, we sold out of Fr. Mike Schmitz's book about finding God in brokenness. But yesterday, we got great news - our warehouse found additional books and is holding them for our customers.
If you like following Fr. Mike on the Bible in a Year Podcast, you'll love what he has to say about anxiety, brokenness and finding God just as you are. So many of us carry anxiety about not being good enough. We try hard to keep doing better as a parent or grandparent, as a friend, as an employee and even as a child of God, that we miss the fact that God is with us as we are.
In short and easy read, Fr. Mike reminds us that we have been fought for by a God who wants us now, not after we have checked off x, y, or z from our list. He unfolds the mystery of God's love present in human brokenness, reminding us that we have been fought for and purchased as we are. By the end, he shows us that the Lord's will for us is to find our identity in him and thrive
If you are going through a spiritual dry spell or struggling at this moment, this is for you. If you know someone who is struggling to find God, it's a perfect gift to help another. If any of this sounds interesting, don't delay - who knows how long these additional books will remain on the shelves?
God bless you!
