Publishing This Week

Hello Readers,

This week we have 55 great new books publishing.  We take a break from last week's sunshine to highlight two new books that deal with darkness: one magical, one murderous.

For the magical, The Pecan Children by Quinn Connor takes us to a small Southern town, where two sisters fight to break free of the darkness swallowing their land.  Publishers Weekly writes, "With lyrical prose and a rich seam of folklore, Connor artfully braids satisfying mystery and romance subplots, creating an abiding sense of unease. This story of crumbling grandeur and family secrets will leave readers hungry for more."

And for the muderous, Bright and Tender Dark by Joanna Pearson tells the story of a murder on a college campus, and its aftermath twenty years later.  Shelf Awareness calls it an "intricate debut novel...a perfect choice for true-crime readers."

You'll find brief information on 10 titles below, and descriptions and reviews for all of them in our New This Week section. For more soon to publish books, check out BookBrowse's "What's New" section.

Enjoy!
