The Brass Digest (No. 333)SNEAK PEEK 👀 at a New Resource + 3 Events This Week + 26 Items Added To The WebsiteWelcome to this week’s edition of Brass Digest, where I recap stories, auditions, events, and links added to the website. 👀 For the last few weeks, I’ve been gathering a list of books written by or about brass musicians. This is not a list of musical method books or dissertations, but rather a list of publications that include biographies/memoirs (like Softly, With Feeling: Joe Wilder and the Breaking of Barriers in American Music) teaching concepts (like The Brass Player's Cookbook: Creative Recipes for a Successful Performance), and even children’s books (like Little Melba and Her Big Trombone). Consider this a “more-words-than-notes” list of published books that can be purchased through Amazon, Bookshop.org, or other retailers. More to come with this, but as a thank you for reading The Brass Digest, I wanted to give you a sneak peek before it’s announced to the public. Whether you are a new subscriber or have been with LRM since the beginning, I want you to know I truly value your support and readership. Peace, Cheers, and Brass, Thanks for reading!
