A Message from Ann

A message from Congresswoman Ann Wagner

Dear Friend,

Happy 4th of July!  Last week, we celebrated the birth of our great nation and the very freedoms that make the United States the best country in the world.

I was proud my team and I were able to assist the Mowry family in obtaining military medals, including the Bronze Star, for veteran Kirk Mowry, who served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. It was a privilege to present these medals to his wife and son and learn about his service to our country.

The Air Force is proposing the premature closure of one of the United States’ two major fighter manufacturing lines, the F-15EX. The F-15EX is a critical asset for the Air Force, and particularly for the National Guard.  This manufacturing line in Missouri supports local jobs and is a strategic asset and national security imperative.  I appreciate Chairman Calvert’s commitment to work with me to protect this important program.  I spoke on the House Floor urging support for the F15-EX, watch here.

It was great seeing constituents who were in town with the Associated Builders and Contractors and speaking with them about how Congress can be open, transparent, and fight back against President Biden’s regulatory regime impacting their industry.

Constituents with American Truck Dealers came to see us in Washington and tell us how burdensome the recent EPA emissions rules have been on their business.  I am sending a letter to EPA Administrator Michael Regan urging him to withdraw his recent rule, which would force businesses to convert their trucking fleets to costly electric trucks on an extremely unrealistic timeline—and without the necessary infrastructure to support such a mandate. I will continue to work in Congress to make sure unelected regulators are not imposing expensive, unnecessary rules that hurt local workers and employers.

My office continues to provide constituent services to those who need our help. Whether it is a Medicare issue, a problem with the VA or the IRS, or even getting a passport expedited, we can help. Call us at our district offices at 636-779-5449 or 636-231-1001 or visit our website here.

Sincerely,

Ann Wagner
Member of Congress
