A message from Congresswoman Ann Wagner
| | | Dear Friend, There continues to be a crisis at our southern border. The Biden/Harris administration has allowed illegal immigrants to stream across the border and into our communities with impunity, often bringing with them crime and illegal drugs like fentanyl. I have voted for legislation to secure the border and will continue to fight against the Administration’s reckless policies. As part of my commitment to securing our border, I signed on to the SAFER Act, legislation that would prohibit the Department of Homeland Security from allowing migrants who are known or suspected terrorists to enter our nation. This should be common sense, but under the Biden-Harris Administration, hundreds of known and suspected terrorists have flooded across our southern border. This legislation will keep our nation safer from those who wish to do our communities harm. I constantly hear complaints about the performance of the United States Postal Service and the trouble people are having getting their important mail on time. The Postal Service has raised prices, but they have yet to fix the many issues that have led to late, and often lost, mail. Last week, I signed on to the Deliver for Democracy Act, legislation that would require the Postal Service to achieve at least a 95% on time performance for periodicals, and push them to better service the many Missourians who rely on them for vital paperwork and medications. As your Member of Congress in Missouri’s 2nd Congressional District, it’s my job to listen to you and make sure you are fully represented. Click here to take my issue survey and tell me what issues you think are most important. Recently, my Fly Together Act, legislation that would ensure parents can be seated with their children on airplanes for no extra cost, was signed into law. I am pleased to say the Administration is finally taking action to implement my bill so parents can have confidence their air travels will be that much simpler and cheaper. Read here to learn more. My office continues to provide constituent services to those who need our help. Whether it is a Medicare issue, a problem with the VA or the IRS, or even getting a passport expedited, we can help.
