A Message from Ann

A message from Congresswoman Ann Wagner

Dear Friend,

Last week, Senator Eric Schmitt and I introduced the Gateway Partnership Act, legislation that will attract new economic opportunities for the Gateway Arch, the enduring landmark of the greater St. Louis region and our great State of Missouri. Thanks to the tremendous investment from community organizations and civic leaders, the renovated Arch Visitor Center has seen a revitalized demand for event space, and this legislation builds on that public-private partnership to ensure the Arch is more easily accessible for constituent groups in my district and those visiting from across the nation.  Read more on this bill here.

I joined a bipartisan group of my colleagues calling on the Administration to crack down on Hezbollah’s international financing network.  The United States must use all tools at our disposal to put a stop to this terrorist group that is a deadly threat to our nation and our greatest ally in the Middle East, Israel.  Hezbollah continues to recklessly escalate violence on Israel’s northern border, raising threat of a second conflict even as Israel continues to battle Hamas, and one of the ways in which we can counter them is to disrupt their financial resources and impose sanctions.  Read our full letter here.

I sent a letter to the Department of Education regarding their failure to take responsibility for the mismanagement of the federal student loan program.  This failure has resulted in the spread of inaccurate information from activist advocacy groups and their allies in Congress about the Missouri Higher Education Loan Authority.  I called on Secretary of Education Cardona to be open and transparent with the nation and answer questions relating to the Department’s reckless actions in this matter.  Read my full letter here.

My office continues to provide constituent services to those who need our help.  Whether it is a Medicare issue, a problem with the VA or the IRS, or even getting a passport expedited, we can help.  Call us at our district offices at 636-779-5449 or 636-231-1001 or visit our website here.

Sincerely,

Ann Wagner
Member of Congress
