Our monthly movie club is back… On November 18th and 21st at 8pm CT, we'll be talking about All About Lily Chou-Chou (2001) and Summer Wars (2009). Why these films? Lily Chou-Chou includes one of the most iconic depictions of the earliest days of internet fan communities and message boards in film. Meanwhile, Summer Wars offers an interesting peak into AI and virtual worlds. Together, I think they’ll be an interesting springboard for present-day Internet culture.
Don’t like these picks? Feel free to post recommendations in the comments section… Maybe December we’ll toggle back to books. P.S. If you're new to the paid tier, welcome.
