Hey Indiana,   Have you ever heard of the Whole Tone Scale? It looks like this: Some people refer to this scale as the "dream scale" because it has a mysterious ethereal sound. The formula is quite simple: W-W-W-W-W-W Essentially, just whole steps, which is why its called the Whole Tone Scale.  Now, it might sound like a strange scale at first, but you can actually use this scale to create some great color sounds in your jazz solos.
