October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

It is not acceptable, not inevitable, and together, we can make it stop." – Survivor's comment to SafeLives Domestic Violence Awareness Month, held annually in October, is meant to raise awareness about domestic violence, show support for victims and survivors, and amplify resources as we work to end domestic violence . Wear purple October 17! Purple Thursday or "Go Purple Day" is a national day of action during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Everyone is encouraged to wear all things purple as a symbol of peace, courage, survival, honor, and personal dedication to domestic violence awareness.
