Holy Halloween!

Have you ever seen a person walking without a head? Or a dragon slayer dragging the monster at their feet? What about a person with an ax in their skull? Chances are, you see such sights only on Halloween.

While these things can be scary, did you know that there are saints who did these very things (without the extra scary gore)? These Spooky Saints make great trick-or-treating pals!

Saint Denis was beheaded, but picked up his head and kept sharing God's message. Saint Joseph is called the "terror of demons" because he fought any evil in order to protect the Holy Family. And Saint Peter Martyr used the blood from the ax in his head to write "I believe in one God" on the ground.

While these things sound gross and creepy, the saints were able to make them beautiful by focusing on God. When we get scared, we can also turn to our Heavenly Father for courage. He might just make something spooky into something amazing for us too.
