We learn a new jazz standard every single month, and it's something that our members have a lot of fun doing.
The song we are learning is Anthropology by Charlie Parker!
Take a look:
Anthropology is a "Rhythm Changes" tune. Rhythm Changes is one of the most important song forms in jazz, making this a great one to learn. On top of this, this is what's called a bebop "head" (or melody). Bebop heads are almost like solos, so when learning the melody you are also learning solo ideas to play over a Rhythm Changes song form.
If you'd like to join us to deep-dive this tune, I'm happy to give you 25% off membership for you to join today.
In our training video, we'll go over the chords analysis in full detail so you can better understand how the chords work and feel equipped to start learning it.
We'll also go over the etude (composed solo) in full detail, so you can understand it and start learning some awesome ideas to play over this song.
Here's how we help you learn and improvise over Anthropology:
A jazz solo for you to learn and help you improvise
