Labour makes a mockery of PMQs |
A dull session of PMQs was dominated by ambitious Labour backbenchers throwing softball questions to Sir Keir Starmer, setting him up again and again to attack Kemi Badenoch.
Of all the issues MPs' constituents might want them to raise with the prime minister, whether the leader of the opposition supports fracking is surely not one.
At least seven of the 12 questions Labour MPs were allotted could have been written by Sir Keir himself.
It makes a mockery of the half hour slot set aside each week for the PM to be held to account.
The same thing happened under the Conservatives, of course, but it is no excuse for the Labour Party, whose election campaign slogan was one word: "Change."
