“In Order to Form a More Perfect Union”
What Does the Flag Mean to YOU? Hi Reader, The censorship-industrial complex is alive and well. Last week, we were informed that YouTube removed Jim Rickards’ post-election briefing for “medical misinformation.” The censorship battle is ongoing — and sometimes, even alleged champions of free expression like Elon Musk are inconsistent. Whether it’s elite organs like YouTube or counter-elite platforms like X, “content creators” are frequently at the mercy of automated reviews and automated decrees with no right of appeal. It’s an uphill fight trying to exercise our right to free speech… But Jim did upload another election update to our YouTube channel (here’s hoping this one doesn’t get taken down.) In it, he gives his latest take on the election and what’s next for Trump’s administration. We talk about predictions for Trump’s cabinet, what could unfold in the coming days and some possible economic challenges ahead — even with Trump in office. Plus, we’ll get Jim’s take on recent rate cuts by the Fed and what they might mean going forward. For some, it stirs feelings of exclusion from the American Dream on the basis of race, religion, economic status… The list goes on. For others, the flag’s a sacred reminder of the men and women who sacrificed “in order to form a more perfect union.” Those eight words from the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution: The founders of this nation knew a perfect union wasn’t achievable. But a more perfect union? That’s something Americans could aspire to. Because the idea the flag represents — the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” — is generous enough to enfold people of different stripes. It’s time to shake hands with our fellow Americans. And move on. ⇒ Read More Here
Politics: Adam Sharp – Trump’s “Clean House” Mandate By electing President Trump, America may have likewise dodged a bullet. Deregulation should be relatively straightforward. With control of Congress and a fat stack of executive orders, President Trump should be able to make remarkable progress in this area, and quickly. This alone will be a major boost for the economy. But now comes the hard part. So will Mr. Trump continue his “clean house” campaign if it causes the stock market to crash? Will the GOP stand firm as the nation “takes our medicine”? ⇒ Read More Here
America: Byron King – Veterans’ Day: War, Peace and President-Elect 47 Trump is president-elect again, and even the New York Times admits it. Plus, to the great benefit of the now older, wiser, almost-assassinated man from Queens, he’ll have a Republican Senate to confirm his appointees and nominees. There’s much to say about what just happened. But let’s narrow things down to one fundamental item, the matter of war and peace. That is, consider how, anymore, we routinely hear serious people say that the world is “on the cusp of World War III,” or how this or that conflict (there are more than one) “could go nuclear.” Obviously, this should worry us. Money comes and goes. Stock markets rise and fall. But when you distill things to an essence, the prospect of major war should focus the mind. Or to cite a line that’s often attributed to Leon Trotsky, “you may not be interested in war, but war is interested in you.” ⇒ Read More Here That’s all for today, we’ll be back tomorrow with more topics and articles from our editors.
