As DGA Chair, I have an urgent message for you: Democratic governors, the essential guardrails against extremism in the states, cannot deliver without input from grassroots supporters like you. Today, I’ve personally selected you to complete my DGA Chair's Survey to let us know what you want to see Dem govs get done and what we should focus on right now. Real-time input from the grassroots is essential to informing our strategy, now more than ever. So please tell us: What do you want to see Democratic governors focus on right now? ANSWER NOW Team, I know firsthand what it takes to win tough races. From serving as the Democratic governor in a state Donald Trump carried three times to leading the DGA during last year’s key governor’s race in battleground North Carolina, I’ve seen how critical the DGA and grassroots supporters like you are to achieving victory. This grassroots team has helped elect Democratic governors who have remained steady and ready to lead in the face of chaos – working to fully fund public schools, protect Americans from price gouging, safeguard reproductive access, forgive billions of dollars in medical debt, and so much more. But with extremists working around the clock to implement the ultra-conservative Project 2025 agenda – which could mean higher costs for the middle class, a repeal of the Affordable Care Act, the gutting of Social Security and Medicare, bans on abortion across this country, and even defunding public broadcasting – all of our progress is at stake. This November and in 2026, there are 38 governors’ races across the country. It’s never been more important to elect Democratic governors who will deliver on the issues that make a real difference in people’s lives. But the extremists will throw everything they can at us to defeat Democratic governors and tear down our blue firewall – which is why I’m asking for your help today. Team, we need to be prepared for some tough races and, at the same time, defend against extremism at the state level. So I need your help.
