Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Sperry Marine, Charlottesville, Va., is being awarded a $40,305,984 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for engineering and technical services in support of the analysis, repair, alteration, maintenance and product improvement on existing Sperry Marine Integrated Bridge System (IBS) and steering/ship control systems equipment. The contract shall provide engineering and technical services, including material, in support of the analysis, repair, alteration, maintenance and product improvement on the existing Sperry Marine manufactured IBS and the steering/ship control systems installed on U.S. Navy vessels and at land based test facilities. Work will be performed in Charlottesville, Va., and is expected to be completed by March 2011. Contract funds in the amount of $919,000, will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N65540-06-D-0009).
BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Lansdale, Pa., is being awarded a not-to-exceed $24,349,779 letter contract for the procurement of thirteen Low Band Transmitters (LBTs) and LBT spare and repair parts for the EA-6B aircraft. Work will be performed in Lansdale, Pa., and is expected to be completed in April 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity (N00019-06-C-0096).
Samsung Heavy Industries Co., LTD, Seoul, Republic of Korea, was awarded on Mar. 21, 2006 $8,721,392 for firm-fixed price Delivery Order 0011 under a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity requirements contract (N62472-97-D-1643) for one 60-ton portal crane for Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. After award of this delivery order, the total cumulative contract amount will be $108,224,134. The crane will be manufactured in Koje, Republic of Korea and delivered for Government acceptance to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, N.H. by September 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 37 proposals solicited, nine offers received and award made on Feb. 26, 1999. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Navy Crane Center, Lester, Pa., is the contracting activity.
BAE Systems and Armaments, L.P., Armament Systems Division, Minneapolis, Minn., was awarded on Mar. 21, 2006 a $6,430,417 fixed-price-plus-award-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-04-C-5464) for procurement of MK 14 MOD 2 Canisters for FY06 USN requirements, including packaging, handling, storage, and transportation equipment, and FY 06 Reconfigurable Coding Plug Assemblies. MK 14 canisters for the MK 41 Vertical Launching System store, transport in safety, and enable loading of Tomahawk missiles into MK 41 Vertical Launching Systems aboard DDG-51 Class and CG-47 Class ships. Work will be performed at Aberdeen, S.D., and is expected to be completed by January 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
_ARMY
Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Rolling Meadows, Ill., was awarded on March 17, 2006, a $10,942,497 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for Spare Parts for the FIREFINDER AN/TPQ-36(V). Work will be performed in Rolling Meadows, Ill., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 11, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 24, 2006. The Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAB07-02-C-H302).
Nordic Ammunition Co., Karlsborg, Sweden, was awarded on March 20, 2006, a $5,782,991 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for Manufacture and Delivery of 5.56mm M995 and 7.62mm M993 Armor Piercing Cartridges. Work will be performed in Bedford, Pa., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 27, 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 27, 2005. The Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Picatinny, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15QKN-06-C-0009).
_CORRECTION FROM 15 MAR 06 CONTRACTS
The Wexford Group International Inc.*, Vienna, Va., was awarded on March 14, 2006, a $17,917,334 firm-fixed-price contract for Engineering Services and Support for the Army Rapid Equipping Force. Work will be performed at Fort Belvoir, Va. (60 percent), Vienna, Va. (20 percent), and Iraq (20 percent), and is expected to be completed by Mar. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Dec. 20, 2005, and six bids were received. The Army Contracting Agency, White Sands Missile Range, N.M., is the contracting activity (W9124Q-06-C-0123).
_AIR FORCE
McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $6,719,724 firm fixed price contract modification. This action provides for C-17 Product Improvement Program Multiple quantity buy for Peculiar Support Equipment for activating main operating bases. At this time, total funds have been obligated. The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8614-04-C-2004/P00091).
