Microsoft Live Search Webmaster Tools Out of Beta

Microsoft Live Search Webmaster Center provides another set of tools for webmasters to tweak how Live Search crawls and indexes your website and SEO your site for best results to get higher search engine rankings. The Microsoft Live Search Webmaster Tools just went out of beta and added a few new features.

Webmaster Center now has more information about how Live Search is crawling and indexing your sites, as well as a few features to make the data more actionable. Here are some new features.

Crawl Issues will allow webmasters to find issues they encountered while crawling your site like File Not Found (404), Blocked by REP, Long Dynamic URLs or Unsupported Content-Types
Better backlink data - with access to more information about referring links, which is useful as they influence the rank of a site.
New report - with advanced filters and downloadable data sheets.

Sign up easily for Live Search Webmaster Center using a Windows Live ID (even gmail can be used to create one), add and verify your site and check out how Live Search is indexing your site and identify SEO issues hampering your search engine rankings.

Webmasters also need to access Google Webmaster Tools and Yahoo! Site Explorer to identify any search engine issues and optimize their site to get more site traffic. Search engines are your friends, know them better by using these tools.

Digg Toolbar: Digg Faster in Firefox

The immensely popular Digg has launched the Digg Toolbar, a Firefox browser extension that promises to integrate Digg with your browser, stay connected in real time and really change the way you use Digg.

What does the Digg Toolbar do?

When viewing any website, it will let you know how many Diggs and comments it got, or show a submit button if not yet submitted. And you can then easily submit the story from there.
Hide the toolbar - click the Digg guy in the navigation bar, and its gone.
See Latest Popular Content - view new stories become popular on Digg in a small notification window at the bottom of the browser. Choose from the topics and media types of your choice.
See what your friends are Digging. Receive notifications when you friends Digg, submit, or comment on stories.
All notifications can be snoozed to temporarily turn them off.
Customize placement of notification window, how long it displays, and how links should be opened.

Buy Apple iPhone 3G in India on August 22

Apple iPhone launched on July 11 worldwide, is finally selling in India from August 22, 2008. Apple has announced Airtel and Vodafone as the authorised sellers for Apple iPhone in India. Now Indians can also be proud iPhone 3G owners a few weeks later.

iPhone 3G Now in India

Bharti Airtel has announced that it will launch the iPhone 3G in India on August 22. Customers will be able to purchase iPhone 3G at Airtel Relationship Centers. However, the pricing details have not yet been officially announced (see US pricing plans). Airtel customers can book an iPhone now.

Vodafone has started pre-registration much earlier than Airtel, but there is no official announcement for iPhone sales on their site. Pre-register iPhone here on Vodafone.

The Apple India store has geared up for Apple iPhone sales and has started pointing potential customers to Airtel and Vodafone websites.

It is expected that both these telecom companies will launch the iPhone on the same day, or the earlier startup could gain a significant sales advantage. Nevertheless, the major advantage of the iPhone is 3G (which accounts for its name also), which is not available in India as yet, although it is expected soon. The pricing and service will be a major factor for the success of Apple iPhone 3G in India.
