Israel, Hamas Arms Embargoes Suggested

WASHINGTON, Feb 24 (OneWorld.net) - An international human rights
monitor is calling for a global arms embargo against Israel and the
Palestinian armed group Hamas after releasing evidence that both
parties, recently engaged in conflict, used foreign-supplied weapons
in attacks on civilians.

A New Dawn for U.S. Foreign Assistance?

WASHINGTON, Feb 24 (OneWorld.net) - Aid organizations are advocating

New Threats to Girls Since Taliban 'Peace' Deal

WASHINGTON, Feb 23 (OneWorld.net) - Last week's "peace" deal between
Pakistani officials and the Taliban allows for Islamic law to be
implemented in the northern Swat Valley of Pakistan, at a severe cost
to women and girls, say rights activists.
