Over the years I've watched the progression of clothing from my first to my second, down to their younger cousins and, at this point, I sometimes don't even remember the pieces that started with us when I see them on my nieces. My sister-in-law tells me her girls like to call those hand-me-downs "story clothes" because she tells them which cousin first wore them. However, not everyone is lucky enough to have older cousins, which is why a kids' clothing swap party makes so much sense.
