Groupon

Sure, group sex is cool for bachelor party anecdotes and
teaches you a lot about yourself, but even hired
unit/legendary spendthrift Peter North will tell you there's
something even more fulfilling: group savings! So take your
pants off and join the party, with Groupon.

Just launched in Beantown, Groupon organizes a daily deal
contingent on a predetermined number of people expressing
interest in it, much like a 30-pack in high school. It works
like this: every day, you'll get an email with one sweet
deal, which'll be activated once the designated minimum
number of participants pre-pay the discounted rate shown;
your credit card only gets charged if they hit the number by
midnight, after which your deal turns back into a giant
pumpkin of disappointment, and you back to a repressed
stepdaughter with one shoe. Recent discountery includes 70%
off a month membership at Boston Athletic Club, 50% off
Clevergreen dry cleaning, half off a rock climbing class and
48% off Comedy Connection shows from the likes of Leno-vet
Mitch Fatel and "veteran of comedy" Jamie Kennedy, whose
best work is as a white kid wishing he was a black rapper,
also known as his "Weston High material".

In the nearish future, you can get your Groupon on (oh!)
with live lobster delivery, a haircut/massage, a silly 80%
off auto detailing/alignment, and savings on the
golf-centric Grip and Rip club, also the name of a move
that's the reason you're no longer invited to bachelor parties.

Since you don't even have to join, it'd be preposterous not
