Tonight, 9pm; Pier 17 South Street Seaport, btw South St and
Fulton; Seaport
Tonight, the majestic Clipper City Tall Ship yacht-rocks out
with its ascot out, complete with appropriately attired
revelers (captain's hats, boat shoes, etc) soaking in
nautically themed booze from the full-service cash bar, and
groovy seas ensured by the smooth perfectionism of Kenny
Loggins, Michael McDonald, Ambrosia, and Steely Dan, who
will have everyone Reelin in the Beers.
Tickets are just $10 a head, and first come, first serve --

Opened today, the Little Owl/Market Table guy's 31-seat,
bi-level bar-staurant gets comfortably rustic with a zinc
u-shaped bar, barn-wood tables, an original tin ceiling,
antique wooden crates & wire baskets, and portraits of
friends' grandfathers. Hearty grub's from a Bouchon Bakery
vet and runs from smalls like shrimp & grits and duck
rillettes, to mains like whole fried fish and rib-eye for
two; booze includes ~40 vinos, a bourbon-heavy bar, and taps
of Six Point Righteous Rye, Allagash White, and Molson, each
available as pints or 7oz "shorties", which wanna be a mug.

Apt Hunting: PadMapper Supercharged
The Craigslist/GMap apartment listing mash-up's added a slew
of new, including an iPhone app, a keyword filter, a
"QuickMail" option (creates an editable inquiry form you can
breezily email to interesting listings), direct posting
capability, and, most recently, a listings collab with
Apartments.com, increasing the number of higher-end options
while reducing the odds you'll end up meeting Philip Markoff.
