The List
Hump This
Eat: New Menu at Konak
228 Vine St; Old City; 215.592.1212
After briefly shuttering, the Old City Turkish resto's
re-opened as a Mediterranean Seafood Restaurant & Bar,
featuring a black granite "waterfall wall" anchoring a
redesigned dining room awash in cream and burgundy, where
patrons can devour stuffed mussels, Mediterranean seafood
sautée, shrimp casserole, or any of several whole-fish
selections (delivered fresh daily and displayed in an
open-air case) including branzino, dorado, striped bass, and
red mullet, which has migrated from its normal breeding
grounds -- in the driveway, propped up on blocks.
While you always knew you could get white meat and dark meat
from Turkey, betcha never thought it could yield seafood --
check out the new menu here:

Tees: Okay Alrite
The inaugural drop from this Philly-based label features
three classically simple designs bearing not-so-simple
messages on white tees: "Coming of Rage", with a large-print
cursive "Alrite" across the chest, and a b&w photo on the
back showing a young Vietnamese boy perched on a gun turret;
"Crucial Times", featuring an anchor over the left chest,
encircled with the text "Setting Sail Against All That Is";
and "Okay Classic", emblazoned with a Libra-esque scale
insignia inside a circular logo and the mantra "Study the
Classics/Rewrite the Rules", which is just crazy, cause that
book totally gets you laid.
