This is because about 2/3 of St. John is protected as a national park.   St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands St. Croix is the largest U.S. Virgin Island, but this beautiful Caribbean island does not have nearly the number of cruise lines visiting as does St. Thomas and St. John.
