Look At: The MIA Program Skate Retrospective

Snag a look at the 305 from the perspective of local
skateboarder/photographer Ian O' Connor, whose gigs shooting
for skate mags have taken him from rough and tumble Miami
hoods to helicopters over Biscayne Bay. There'll also be
live silk screening of photos from the exhibit onto tees,
tunes by DJ/skater KEEN ONE, a 20-year retrospective vid on
Miami skate culture, $5 all-you-can-eat BBQ, and a skate
ramp for pulling tricks in the back -- so enjoy the tees,
tunes, retrospective vid, and all-you-can-eat BBQ!

With a warm, updated bistro feel, Bliss offers over-the-top
haute burgers paired with craft brews, like the Truffle
Bliss with black truffle mayo, melted Parm, and caramelized
bacon & onions (mated to Brooklyn Lager); the Twenty Six,
topped with crispy Tabasco onions, smokey tomato relish,
cheddar, and beef short rib that's been braised for 26 hours
in red wine and veal reduction (paired with Belle's Amber

Be Lazy: Lazy Sunday BBQ at The Standard

From this Sunday on out, the Standard allows lazy people to
take over the Mud Deck area next to the pool (looking out
over Biscayne Bay) to lollygag the day away with a grill,
keg, temporary bar, and foosball/ping pong tables for
tournaments that win you prizes like day passes to the
Standard spa. Six-buck tix gets you stuff like burgers, hot
dogs, sausages, beer, and way-discounted cocktails, all of
which come with chips -- though that's a loooong drive for
Ponch and Jon, proving they're not lazy at all.
