The List
Make 2010 the year of not-hideous-fatness: hit Thrillist's
Resolution HQ, and stop putting gravy on your Crispix.
Get Fit: EVO Demo Program
Now at EVO: 122 NW 36th St; Fremont; 206.973.4470
With their brand new demo program EVO's resolved not to
offer lame/last year's sticks; instead they're giving you
free reign to test out 2010 faves like the Hellbent and Kung
Fujas from K2, Chopsticks from Volkl, and, from Line, Sir
Francis Bacon and the Prophet, which predicts you'll still
suck at moguls.
Apply the $50 a day fee to the purchase price if you decide,
unlike your NYE resolution, to keep 'em. Get all the deets
here.:

Dessert: Wink Cupcakes
Seattle caterers Wink have taken their artisanal Cupcakery
to Queen Anne w/ their first storefront, a cozy white and
pink splashed art-deco style former ice cream shop w/ just
two tables and a counter, from which you can watch 'em turn
out deliciousness like Red Velvet w/Cream Cheese, Chocolate
w/ Peanut Butter, or a Frothy Frosting'd Guinness (Guinness
for Stretch Marks?).
Gobble up all the info on Wink and their flavors here:

Rock: Murder City Devils Crewneck
Featuring local artist Sean Barton's hand-painted graphic
subtly bracketed by the band's crowned skull and crossbones
logo, this 50/50 blend fleece is the latest collab between
streetwear slingers Winner's Circle and the famed grunge
punk rockers, who've just announced they're recording their
first new material since the turn of the millennium, as it's
high time to restock the tinned beef in their Y2K bunker.
Available exclusively at Winner's Circle's online shop here:

Chowdown: Mobile Chowdown
This Sat Jan 9, 11am-3pm; 1616 W Bertona, Interbay
Gathering the city's finest street food purveyors for a
one-day parking lot feast, MC is a redux of last's fall's
inaugural event, this time w/ amenities (porta-potties, a
dining area, parking, actual lines), live music, and even
more wheeled fooderies like El Camion (authentic Mex grub
like tamales and tortas), Top Pot Doughnuts, and
Hawaiian/Korean tacos and sliders from Marination Mobile,
which's the "best food cart in America" according to Good
Morning America, and if anyone knows taco trucks, it's
George Stephanopoulos.
Other vendors include Skillet, Veraci Pizza, Kaosamai Thai,
Anita's Crepes and Jones Soda. Follow their Twitter feed for
all the latest updates.:

Wear: Diet Butcher Slim Skin Knits
Available at Blackbird: 5410 22nd Ave NW, Ballard, 206.547.2524
These pricey boundary-pushing designs from Japan-only DBSS's
Holiday drop have just been smuggled into Seatown, including
a sinister looking asymmetrical closured Hooded Zip Sweater,
and a futuristic v-neck w/ cotton/silk shoulder liners and
quadruple-seam details at collar and cuffs; be warned
they're only available in core Japanese sizes 1 and 2, i.e.
small/med, but you don't need to worry, since you're
shredding crazy amounts of moguls every freakin' weekend
kind of skinny.
