| THE MAY 29 ROUND-UP » This week: RSM wants to wish all its customers a great Memorial Day weekend!
» This week: The Swedish Mint in Eskilstuna will only start shipping the silver and gold Royal Wedding Coins during the week starting with June 7 because of "technical difficulties". We don't know when shipments to foreign dealers will start, but it is pretty clear that the coins will not be here for the day of the wedding on June 19. However, the design of the Swedish Royal Wedding silver coin has been released and can be seen by visiting our Facebook page. The gold coin has the same design.
»This week: Customer greetings and endorsements in conjunction with our recent 10th anniversary have now been made available online by clicking on the anniversary logo on the home page. » This week: RSM is finally able to offer the much-requested set of two colored silver proof coins “The Siberian tiger” and “The Bengal tiger” minted by the Mint of Finland for the government of Fiji. The classic yin and yang design - inspired by Chinese philosophy - is the unique feature of the coins. Together the coins form a perfect circle.
» Last week: Sweden's Central Bank wants to replace the 20-kronor note with a coin, but the Parliamentary Finance Committee says no. However, they agree on re-introducing the 2-krona coin and introducing a new 200-kronor banknote. The deciding vote by the Swedish Parliament is on June 2.
» Last week: Danmarks Nationalbank issued a new 100-krone banknote on Tuesday, May 4 2010. The note has the Old Little Belt Bridge as its face motif.
» Earlier: Norway will release coins in 2011 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the country's first university, as well as for the Nordic Skiing World Championships to be held in Oslo. We do not yet know which alloys or denominations are planned, but will come back to this as soon as possible.
» Earlier: The Estonian national circulating euro coins are scheduled to begin production at the Mint of Finland in June, 2010 and are expected to be introduced in January 2011 when Estonia adopts the euro.
» Earlier: Since 2004, Andorra has been under a euro coins usage-only agreement with the economic and financial arm of the European Council. One of the goals of the current Spanish presidency of the EU is to conclude a monetary agreement with Andorra regarding the Principality's ability to issue their own euro coins. RSM will keep a very close eye on the situation and give you more information when possible.
