Anyone who's ever played fantasy sports knows that they can be a time draining, exhausting labor of love, but hey, it sure beats having a kid! Helping you spend less time staring aimlessly at your line-up choices and more time praying it's a boy, HuddleHub.
Launching today outta Wellesley from two former MIT frat bros tired of toggling between fantasy teams on different sites, HH is a free aggregation service (plus iPhone/Droid app) that lets you manage an unlimited number of teams from a single location designed with a clean, streamlined interface, so you can only hope it makes up for your dirty, pock-marked outer-face. Here's how it goes down post-draft: after importing your ESPN/Yahoo! teams (CBS/Fanball are on the way), you can begin your domination by setting the week's lineup, proposing trades, checking real-time game stats, or using the handy "not-prevalent-on-other-sites" split-screen waiver wire/add-drop feature to see/compare which players are available (plus their stats) and make personnel moves without ever navigating away from your current roster -- because someone's got to keep an eye on Shaun Alexander. From there you can use the FB/Twitter integration to grossly improve your smack talk, and sign up for several soon-to-be-released plugins that include an instantaneous real-time injury report, a point tracker so you know when you've scored, and free agent notification that'll tell you which guys on the wire are outperforming your bench players, though everyone's money is already on Marlo.
As for down the road, HH's got big plans to create a potential system where you can earn virtual currency for fantasy wins that can buy real schwag, and expansion into other sports starting with baseball -- a time draining, exhausting pursuit in its own right, especially if you hit an unexpected home run.
