Cordless electric mowers recalled

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Black & Decker cordless electric lawn mowers due to risk of injury.

About 160,000 lawn mowers made in the United States, Canada and Mexico were sold under the Black & Decker and Craftsman brands from September 1995 through December 2006 for about $450.

They were made by Black & Decker Inc. of Towson, Md.

'S T U F F' and Paw Wall Hooks recalled

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of "S T U F F" and Paw Wall Hooks due to excessive lead in the surface paint.

About 4,450 wall hooks with the base shaped like animal paws and a set of five separate colorful hooks with the bases spelling out "stuff" were imported from China by Midwest-CBK of Union City, Tenn., and sold nationwide from December 3008 through August 2010 for between $10 and $30.

Nintendo 3DS will miss holiday season

CHIBA, Japan (UPI) -- Japanese game maker Nintendo said Wednesday its 3-D game platform 3DS would not be ready for the market until after the holiday shopping season.

Nintendo said the 3DS would first go on sale in February in Japan. It would be sold abroad starting in March, The New York Times reported.

Lehman Brothers going once, twice, sold

LONDON (UPI) -- Demand for paintings, collectibles and signs owned by Lehman Brothers' London headquarters kept auctioneers busy Wednesday, a spokeswoman for Christies said.

"It's a very unique auction and the room was busier than usual," spokeswoman Leonie Ashfield told The New York Times.
