Slippery simmered enoki mushrooms are called nametake. It's a good side dish to eat with hot steamed rice, especially for breakfast. When I make nametake, I keep it in a clean sterilized jar in the refrigerator so that I can eat them for a few days. Japanese Nametake Recipe
Satoimo (taro roots) are popular ingredients in Japanese autumn recipes. Satoimo is commonly simmered in soy sauce based dashi soup.
