The List
Dine: Villa Pacri
Accepting Reservations Now, Opens Nov 23rd: 55 Gansevoort St, btw Washington and Greenwich St; Meatpacking District 212.924.5559
The latest layer of the MPD's multi-floor Italian estate's focused on fine dining, with Italian "style and comfort" touches of earth tones, dining niches, fireplaces, and candelabra lighting setting the mood for oxtail gnudi w/ wild mushrooms, blue crab/yellow tomato/basil risotto, and a loin & sweetbread duo of veal that's milk-fed (milk: it does a body good, unless you're made of veal).
Get excited about the Italian deliciousness with a peek at the current friends and family menu here

BistroPub: Mary Queen of Scots
Opens tomorrow: 115 Allen St, nr Delancey St; Lower East Side; 212.460.0915
From the team behind Highlands comes a Franco-Scottish bistro-pub (suck it, gastro!) in the old Allen & Delancey space, now vibed like a "Sex Pistols meets Scottish Royalty" old Euro townhouse (tartan paneled walls, wood-planked ceilings decked with mirrors, a grand fireplace...); kitchen highlights include seared scallops w/ Ayrshire bacon & brussel sprouts, a halibut papillote with fingerlings/confit tomatoes/cured lemon, and pork belly atop garlic spinach and beluga lentils, which when consumed en masse with pork belly will make you the baby whale.
There'll also be loads of Scottish and French spirits, cocktails and beers to wash down the eats which you can salivate over on the menu here

Brooklyn Threads: Handsome Supply Co.
This limited run of shirt-y odes to BK's past include graphics like the Coney Island Boxing Gym (w/ an old school tattoed fighter in the center), the anchor-abetted "BKLYN Dock", and a loop of nautical rope sandwiched by the phrase "Weigh Anchors", but not Wayyy Anchors, cause no one wants to be sued by Bill & Ted's Nautical Voyage lawyers.

Nauto-Pub: John Dory Oyster Bar
Soft opens Friday at the Ace Hotel: 1196 Broadway, nr 29th St; NoMad; 212.792.9000
More bar than restaurant, this Phoenix-like second coming harks back to oyster bars of yore with its tiled walls, vaulted ceilings, custom fish tank sconces, and 12-seat chef's table in the kitchen, all backing up next-level raw bar selections including live in-shell sea urchin, Long Island fluke crudo, full caviar service, and hotter plates from oyster pan roasts w/ uni butter, to manila clams w/ bone marrow, to veal-and-mortadella-stuffed mussels, not to be confused with veal-and-mortadella-stuffed muscles, because that's very rare Situation.
Here's the menu to feast your eyes on, and Friday they'll be kicking things off with oyster and drinks.

Eats: Carmine Club Cafe
Soft opens this weekend, Nov 8th fully: 41-43 Carmine St, nr Bedford, West Village; 212.933.0527
Split between an open-kitchen'd relaxed café on the ground floor and a dimly-lit subterranean dining room sporting its original structural beaming and a glassed-in wine cellar, this new Med grubbery from a flock of dell'anima/ Lupa/ Ellettaria alums is serving up elevated plates like grilled quail w/ manchego & pickled huckleberry, and pork burgers topped with bresaola and pork rind; vino from small production wineries'll be on tap, while the global list is focused on "off the beaten path" selections, ironically the very path you may find yourself on if you appreciate it too much.
Full menu won't be available until next Monday but you can snag a preview here
