Off-Menu Happy Hour
Increase your happy with items just for you
Happy hours are typically sad affairs, limiting you to $4 wells or femi-offerings like Sex on the Beach, which'll end up costing you $4 plus a $20 co-pay. To remedy said injustice, we've asked some of the town's sweetest eat/drinkeries to whip up exclusive happy hour sips/snacks created specifically for Thrillist readers, all of which'll be available at least through Thanksgiving. Options include:
Urbane:
The Downtown farm-to-tablery's got an $11 pairing that boasts a Jim Collins (a take on the classic Tom 'tail made w/ Beam) and a Short Rib Burger with blue cheese & truffle oil, which has a surprisingly smooth Chunk-free texture.
LOT No. 3:
Not content with just one menu, the Eastside gastro's making every hour happy with secret anytime offerings boasting twists on two classic 'tails and six boilermakers like a Dicks' Grand Cru Belgian-style Abbey ale paired with whiskey from John Powers, also an obscure Alpha Flight member who possessed an uncanny ability to find hookers for Puck.
Primo:
For five bucks, the First Hill 'za spot's got a mantastic whole milk-mozz/ pepperoni/ salami/ Canadian bacon/ sausage stuffed stromboli made with fresh hand-tossed dough and called the Maximus, though it prefers to go by The Spaniard when trying to not-sleep with Connie Nielsen.
Mission:
The West Seattle Mexican mainstay gets it poppin' with $5 jalapenos stuffed w/ a blend of bacon and three cheeses, although even they couldn't hold down E Baltimore now that Prop Joe's gone.
The Diller Room:
Downtown's speakeasy-ish spot's honoring its owner's Aussie roots with a rum/ lime/ Bundaberg Australian Ginger Beer 'tail called the Dead Set Legend, an Aussie phrase for "someone who's just the coolest", aka Maximus according to Connie Nielsen's kid. Awkward!
Pintxo:
For $7 the Belltown Spanish-style snackery's abetting a tequila/lime shrimp pintxo with a shot of tequila and Aztec Chocolate Bitters topped with an Ibarra chocolate/coffee coated rim, and calling it the Sanchez Special, which usually just consists of over-relying on Braylon Edwards.
