AllSaints Spitalfields
Stylin' UK gear hits Downtown
1511 5th Ave N; Downtown; 206.508.0018

Usually when the British invade America, bad things happen: seriously Hugh Laurie, stop being so damn mean to Omar Epps -- it wasn't even his diagnosis! For a slightly less antagonistic British invasion, hit Allsaints Spitalfields.

Not content with Euro domination, this UK brand's continuing its stateside growth spurt by bringing its vintage-inspired dude-wear (plus stuff for the ladies) to Seattle via a sprawling, Westlake Park-adjacent spot in the old Coldwater Creek space (damn!), which they've decked with over 650 old-school Singer sewing machines, but not Singer flowing machines, as those are all exclusive property of Flo-Rida. Continuing to distract you from the clothes are tons of exposed brick/raw wood, random iPads throughout the store loaded with info on all their gear, industrial-style shelves and light fixtures that're custom made in cast-iron, as well as vintage manufacturing artifacts like a printing press, and various textile machinery including two Turkish looms, whose fruit features commercials where Michael Jordan attempts to get Hedo Turkoglu's cell number, but then he just drives off. AS's gear options include kicks (intentionally distressed canvas/leather hi-tops w/ zippers on either side of the laces), outerwear (the two-button Yale Blazer w/ narrow notch lapels & working cuffs), button-ups (the yarn dyed Alaska Hooded Shirt based on vintage naval gear), and gam-wear like the slim fit, selvage denim Iggy that comes in an indigo wash called Deathstar, which is thankfully sans exhaust port.

Still more gear ranges from leather shirts/jackets, to a mess of graphic'd tees like the religiously-themed Blood, and the occult-style skull arted Altered State, just one of the symptoms Hugh Laurie missed while invading the part of America hidden under Cuddy's clothes.

Because you'd rather stay at the house and watch House, you can also see the all the gear online
