(UPI) -- Two touchdown runs by De'Vion Moore and a sturdy defense carried No. 15 Missouri to a 35-7 victory over Kansas at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City Saturday. The win gave Missouri (10-2, 6-2 Big Ten) a tie with Nebraska for the Big 12 North championship, although the Tigers won't take part in the championship since they lost to the Cornhuskers earlier in the season. Moore carried the ball 10 times for 38 yards. Blaine Gabbert was 16-of-26 passing for 172 yards and threw two interceptions. Missouri scored two TDs in the first quarter and added one in each of the next three periods. The Tigers gave up a touchdown in the third quarter but otherwise held Kansas (3-9, 1-7) to 141 yards of total offense. Jordan Sims scored the only Jayhawks touchdown and ran for 87 yards. Jordan Webb struggled with 7-of-20 passing for 45 yards and was picked off twice. Poulter had five birdies and two bogeys at the Jumeirah Golf Estates course in posting a 54-hole total of 12-under 204 taking the lead over Ross Fisher, who was tied with Poulter for first after the second round. Thongchai Jaidee and Francesco Molinari share second place at 10-under. Robert Karlsson shot 5-under 67 Saturday and is tied with Lee Westwood, who had a 71 in his third round, for fifth at 9-under. Poulter had birdies at Nos. 2 and 3 in moving into the lead all alone but had his first bogey of the week at the fifth hole. He had a birdie at No. 8 only to give that stroke back at the 10th hole. Birdies at 14 and 15 put him at 3-under for the day. Fisher bogeyed the par-5 second hole and, after a birdie at the fifth hole, had another bogey at No. 6. He added birdies at 7, 9 and 16 but stumbled with a bogey at another par 5 -- No. 18 -- for a 1-under 71. Jaidee's third round 69 included four birdies and a bogey while Molinari was 1-under before posting consecutive birdies at Nos. 15-17 for a 4-under 68. Copyright 2010 by United Press International | Hockey NHL: Pittsburgh 4, Calgary 1 PITTSBURGH (UPI) -- Sidney Crosby scored a hat trick Saturday and the Pittsburgh Penguins rolled to their sixth straight win, 4-1 over Calgary. Crosby scored goals Nos. 16, 17 and 18 -- the last one into an empty net -- and stretched his points streak to 12 straight games, during which he has notched 12 goals and 13 assists. Arron Asham also scored, Kris Letang racked up three assists and Brent Johnson finished the game with 30 saves for the Pens. Miikka Kiprusoff did everything he could to help the Flames, including stopping all 24 shots he faced in the first period -- one of them on a Crosby penalty shot. But it wasn't enough and the Flames' netminder took the loss, turning aside 39-of-42 shots. Rene Bourque got Calgary's lone goal. The scrubbed games include a First Division game between Falkirk and Green Morton as well as two third-round Scottish Cup replays. The Daily Mail said a total of 15 matches of various levels were canceled due to the job action. Others were likely to be called off due to harsh winter-like weather. More than 30 senior referees went on strike amid a controversy over harsh criticism about the quality and even integrity of the officiating. The Guardian said Saturday that efforts to round up referees from other European nations were unraveling as associations either declined to pitch in and other officials went back home after having second thoughts about taking the field in such a heated atmosphere. Copyright 2010 by United Press International | Tennis Nadal, Federer to meet in London ATP final LONDON (UPI) -- Rafael Nadal will face off with Roger Federer for the championship of the ATP World Tour Finals after each won semifinal matches Saturday in London. The top-seeded Nadal reached the final of the season-ending event for the first time, winning two tiebreakers in a hard-fought 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 7-6 (8-6) victory over home crowd favorite Andy Murray. Nadal triumphed over Murray even though the Scotsman piled up 22 aces and captured five more points overall than the Spaniard, but fell in both tiebreaks. Federer, meanwhile, will seek his fifth ATP World Tour Finals championship after rallying to defeat Novak Djokovic 6-1, 6-4. The Swiss superstar trailed Djokovic by three games in the second set before coming back to take six of the next seven games to secure the win. Nadal and Federer will meet for the 22nd time in their careers, with Nadal holding a 12-5 edge in the 17 of those meetings that came in championship finals.
