I'm still adding to the SAG Awards gallery as this goes to press. As usual, it's a mix, from classic to over-the-top. Good earrings, a few necklaces and plenty of diamond and platinum bracelets. Take a look.
It's almost that time again - time for the Super Bowl. It would be bad luck for teams to look at potential ring designs now, but you can bet that ring companies are busy developing unique designs for both the Steelers and the Packers, and will present them to the winning team as soon as possible after the February 6th game.
Super Bowl rings get larger and more intricate (read: gaudy) every year (compare the Steelers' recent bling ring, shown here, with the one-diamond design awarded after the first game in 1967)
Kate Hudson created one of my favorite jewelry looks at last year's SAG Awards, wearing her Cartier sautoir necklace draped along the open back of her Emilio Pucci gown. Tina Fey's earrings were another favorite. From Neil Lane's Renaissance collection, the earrings were fashioned from a mix of moonstone, brown diamonds, yellow diamonds and white diamonds, all set in platinum.
Katie Cook's snake chain bracelet ranks high on my list of best celebrity jewelry of 2010 -- it defines simple, trendy and elegant, all combined in one look. A Cartier necklace Kate Hudson slipped on for the SAG Awards was another must for the list -- a sautoir that she wore draped down the open back of her gown. Choices are a mix, and made up of mostly diamonds, platinum and gold pieces for the women (but with Jackson Rathbone's trendy leather corsage taking the top spot for the guys).
