 | LOS ANGELES (UPI) -- CBS Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television have renewed the U.S. sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" for three years, through the 2013-14 TV season.
The multiyear broadcast agreement was announced Wednesday by Nina Tassler, president of CBS Entertainment, and Peter Roth, president of Warner Bros. Television.

The History Channel was originally scheduled to run the eight-part series but announced last week it was not a good fit for its fact-based slate of programming.
Starz and FX Pass subsequently said they were not interested in airing the miniseries either.
