Email Newsletters I’d Buy in 2011

As you know, I recently launched my Blog Topics email newsletter, where I send out writing advice and blog topics weekly for the price of $9.97 a month. I started thinking about who else I’d love to see a newsletter from. and would buy. Here’s my list:

* Steve Garfield – video tips and advice.
* Kevin Nalts – video tips and advice.
* Julien Smith – fitness and nutrition advice.
* Christopher S. Penn – digital marketing advice.
* Ann Handley – personal stories and memoirs.
* Hugh MacLeod – drawing prompts.

Would you buy content? What would it have to do for you? How could you see it growing your capabilities?

And who’s on your list and what do you want them to sell you?

Use The Genesis WordPress Theme

I shot a quick screencast to show off the Genesis Premium WordPress theme (affiliate link), which I run here on [chrisbrogan.com]. I just wanted you to see a bit more of what’s behind the scenes on the theme, and to understand why I use Genesis. Here’s the video:

Can’t see it? Click here.

I’m a big supporter of Genesis, and if you’re interested in growing your blog’s capabilities to the next level, you’ll want to check it out.

Another great way to use Genesis is to check out the best WordPress themes located in the gallery. I like the looks of Lexicon, of Prose, and of Magazine. We use Agency on Human Business Works and a few other projects.

If you find it worthwhile to have a premium site design that makes your website stand out as clean, well-designed, and authoritative, you’ll find that using something like Genesis will help you (and/or your designer) make a much better product in shorter time and with more flexibility to change.

People often ask me about things like the custom pinkish area below every post (you only see this if you visit the post directly instead of through a reader). That was custom built by my designer, but understand that you can put something like that in place really easily with this theme.

Genesis is my go-to theme, and I’m a very proud supporter of it. Try it out today.
