La Silhouette
French-American from some very vetted vets

Once you've worked with the best, expectations can be pretty
high, especially if that person is Jay-Z, and your name is
Expectations. Holding themselves to the standards of those
who groomed them, the team behind La Silhouette.
From a group with experience at some of the city's top
venues (Le Bernardin, The Boom Boom Room...), LS's peddling
Franco-American fare from within a former garage that's now
a mod, condo-esque tri-leveler, with multiple intimate
chambers leading back to two dining rooms, one raised, and
one sunken (an appropriate backdrop for your growing booty).
The opening dinner menu kicks off with daurade crudo, baked
potato/black truffle soup (with bacon-grilled-cheese
soldiers), and wild boar ragout over fresh pappardelle,
while entrees include mustard-crusted lamb loin w/ stuffed
artichoke, and spaetzle-supported veal cheek blanquette,
though a fat lot of security it afforded that baby. A few
weeks down the road, lunch'll roll up with roasted leek &
duck prosciutto salads, hanger steaks a la plancha w/ bacon
& butter braised collard greens, and 'wiches from a
milk-braised pork/ provo/ broccoli rabe pressed ciabatta
joint, to the special sauce-covered Burger Queen, sure to be
eaten in a Flash by any Fat Bottomed Girls.
Eventually they'll even fix your brunch jones, turning out
Hangover Sandwiches from croque monsieurs/ madames to
croissants stuffed with bacon, egg & cheese --despite Jay-Z
being all about the cheddar, you know Swizz beats it.
