Police: Woman went nude in store HEBRON, Md. (UPI) -- Police in Maryland said they arrested a woman accused of stripping nude inside a convenience store and sexually harassing others in the shop. The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said Jennifer Marie Riegler, 22, of Accomac, Va., took off all her clothes shortly before 9 a.m. EST Dec. 18 at the Royal Farms store in Hebron, WBOC-TV, Salisbury, Md., reported. Investigators said Riegler made sexual comments to customers and employees. They said she engaged in sexually suggestive behavior and employees helped her put her clothes back on after she lay down on the floor. Police arrived to take Reigler into custody and found her eating a piece of fruit from the store she had not purchased. Officers said she kicked one of them in the groin and another in the hand while she was being placed under arrest. Reigler was charged with disorderly conduct, indecent exposure, disturbing the peace, theft of less than $100, fourth-degree sex offense, malicious destruction of property valued less than $500 and six counts of second-degree assault. Virginia woman turns 109 VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (UPI) -- A Virginia woman who marked her 109th birthday days after her 108th Christmas said her longevity is the result of her "happy, normal life." Charlotte Cromwell of Virginia Beach, who celebrated her birthday Tuesday at the Sentara Windemere Nursing Home, said long life is all about taking the correct path, WAVY-TV, Portsmouth, Va., reported. "Just try to lead a happy, normal life and be good and kind to people," Cromwell said. Cromwell's grandson, John Cromwell Jr., 56, said his grandmother's long life may have also had something to do with her sensible diet. "There's certainly something to be said for simple food and clean living. I think this is evidence of it right here. And a shot of liquor every now and then," he said. Stolen TV wheeled past police station AUBURN, Wash. (UPI) -- Police in Washington state said a man who allegedly took a TV from a rental truck was caught while attempting to wheel the stolen item past a police station. Investigators said Auburn police received a 911 call at about 5 p.m. PST Dec. 16 from a bystander who spotted a man putting the 50-inch TV, which was taken from a Quality Rentals delivery truck, into a shopping cart and an officer at the East Main Street police station saw Johnathon Barnes, 22, wheeling the cart past the station moments later, Seattlepi.com reported. The officer asked Barnes what he was doing and the suspect allegedly told him he had purchased the TV from a friend before attempting to flee on foot. He was arrested after a short pursuit and charged with second-degree theft. Police said Barnes told them during questioning he was moving the TV for his friend "James." "He explained 'James' had asked him to push the big screen television one block away from the transit station," an officer told the court. "Barnes further explained he did not know 'James'' last name, address or phone number or how to contact him." Copyright 2010 by United Press International

Waitress returns $1,200 left on table BATAVIA, Ohio (UPI) -- An Ohio man said he was overjoyed to learn an honest-minded waitress had turned in the $1,200 cash he accidentally left on a table. Fred Smith of Batavia said he met his daughter and her husband for dinner at Walt's Barbecue the Saturday before Christmas and he apparently left his bank envelope containing $1,200 for gifts on the table, WLWT-TV, Cincinnati, reported. Smith said it took him two days to realize the money was gone and he frantically began calling everywhere he had been in recent days in an attempt to track down the cash. He said he called Walt's and was told waitress Tricia Ayers had turned the money in immediately after he had left the eatery. "It's nice to know there are still honest people in this world. (It's) great she did this. I wish I was a millionaire; I would give her a million bucks," Smith said. Copyright 2010 by United Press International
