The Playbook

Super Bowl XLV: Endless Ribs at Game On!
82 Lansdowne St, at Brookline; Fenway; 617.351.7001
Head to Fenway to gorge on $15 all-you-can-eat ribs and $3.50 Buds while rooting against a potential Steelers dynasty on one of 90 HDTVs; or, if you'd rather roll with your entire flag football team, reserve a VIP skybox and indulge in one of their elaborate tailgate packages that include three pitchers of suds and a platter of grub piled high with several kinds of fries, sweet Italian sausage, and both turkey & steak tips, which're usually just "do tons of incline bench supersets, and wear hats with beer slogans backwards".
Don't let the snow stop you from enjoying SB XLV at GameOnBoston.com

New Eats: Otto Pizza
1432 Mass Ave, at Church; Harvard Square; 617.499.3352
A third offering from Portland's up-and-coming 'za slingers, the just-opened Harvard Square shop's crisping eclectic red/white-sauced pies (whole or by the slice) covered w/ ingredients like pulled pork and mango; Genoa salami and scallions; scrambled egg, bacon, and tomato; and white beans, sausage, and red flakes, also the '09 headline in the Herald when Scalabrine overslept and missed practice.
Spy all the new cheesy deliciousness at OttoPortland.com

Get Crafty: Steotch Designs
Billed as "Fine New England Needleart Beotch!", this straight-outta-CT collection of embroidered cross-stitchery includes clever designs like A Fair Young LAss, depicting three top hat-toting 19th century dudes exclaiming "Damn!" as a woman shows off her well-heeled badonkadonk, one reading Bless This House above an image of Hugh Laurie, and another that shows a picture of Gollum holding up the Ring, surrounded by the expression, "if you love someone, set them free..." -- a saying they apparently don't have in certain Amstetten, Austria basement dungeons.
Pick one for the kitchen AND the bathroom at either Steotch.com or their shop on Etsy.com

More New Eatin': Mass Ave
94 Mass Ave, btwn Newbury & Commonwealth; Back Bay; 617.927.4900
Recently unveiled in Match's old... Mass Ave space, this fireplace-warmed neighborhood eatery from the folks behind Harvard Gardens & BBSC is rockin' giant leather booths and big group tables to accompany a small-plate centric lineup of grub like grilled skirt steak tacos, a brie/muenster lobster grilled cheese, and pork/cabbage dumplings, along with craft cocktails like the Snack Bar (dirty vodka on the rocks w/ Sicilian marinated olives and Manchego cheese) and the gin, dill, and lime Public on the Rocks, but not Publix on the Rocks, as that Florida-based supermarket chain is actually quite profitable.

Super Bowl Bound: Thrillist's Dallas Rundown
Don't board that SB flight before checking Thrillist Nation's guide to the Big D, where you'll score deets on the town's best places to gorge on BBQ, speedily imbibe brews, ogle women who aren't wearing turtlenecks, and shoot off automatic weapons, although hopefully not the Klobb, because that thi...oh, boy. Yep, you just got slapped to death.
Because the game only lasts a few hours, figure out what to do next
