Rebel Underground Bingo Club
Not your grandma's bingo
Mar 16th and 17th at an undisclosed location

There's nothing more enjoyable than corrupting something innocent, like that time you made that joke about Mary-Kate and Ashley's 2002 film Our Lips Are Sealed -- or if not that, then that time you will make that joke in the near future. Taking a wholesome game terrible places, Underground Rebel Bingo.

Started by a British reality-TV producer who, during an out-of-control party, stumbled on a bingo set in an unused church's basement, URB's a secret, roving, loosely parlor-game-centric rager kept cheeky with an ever-changing set of house rules, which currently includes "no work suits", "no customer service", and "no old or boring people", so, no experienced bingo players. Keeping with the hush-hush, each one-off party has a different cover story which patrons must stick to until the coast is determined to be clear; previous charades have included a Shakespearean play, the Brooklyn Young Persons Neighborhood Watch, and the Noise Abatement Society, whose members are getting tired of booking Quiet Riot for every single mixer. When it's go time, the scene transforms into a race to complete your 15-number card according to an ambiguous set of rules, while being distracted by an all-out dance party fueled by DJs, free booze, dobber body drawing, and a stage show likely including scantily clad dancers/pyrotechnics; prizes range from a megaphone to a full-size panda suit, though that might get the winner bam-booed off the stage.

The ATX magic will go down on Wednesday and Thursday; RSVP to their Facebook page for location, and when you show up be sure to say you're there for a "Health and Safety meeting" -- a cover every bit as misleading as the one for another easily corruptible film, 2001's Mary Kate and Ashley in Action!

What are you waiting for? RSVP here.
