Chicago, IL, United States (AHN) - Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan blasted U.S. President Barack Obama for taking part in an international coalition against Libyan Muammar Qaddafi.
The coalition, consisting of France, the United Kingdom and the U.S., began bombing strategic targets in Libya on Saturday. France's air force is leading the air strikes.
The U.S. and UK have launched hundreds of missiles from naval ships.

Sandusky, Ohio, United States (AHN) - A police officer in Sandusky, Ohio was shot in killed in the line of duty on Saturday morning.
Officer Andrew Dunn, 30, was a three-year veteran of the Sandusky Police Department. He was married with two young children.
According to local media reports, Dunn stopped the suspect, Kevin Randleman, who was riding on his bicycle, at about 3 a.m.

Kathmandu, Nepal (AHN) - Nepal police on Saturday said that they arrested nearly 1,000 youths and partygoers in for reportedly violating the local rules and regulations while celebrating Holi, the "festival of colors."
The police also said that they seized more than 285 motor bikes and one car for allegedly driving recklessly while celebrating the festival.

The mine about 20 miles from Quetta in southwest Pakistan is owned by the Pakistan Mineral Development Corp., Geo News said.
The Press Trust of India said workers pulled a dozen unconscious miners out of the shaft during rescue operations hampered by a lack of proper machinery.
